Welcome to the North-East Hants and Surrey Maths Hub
North-East Hants and Surrey Maths Hub is led by St John the Baptist School, Woking and runs a large programme of Work Groups and events throughout the year with the aim of improving Maths teaching, leadership and professional learning practice to transform Maths education.
The Maths Hubs Network is the collaborative partnership of the 40 Maths Hubs across England, supported and facilitated by the National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics (NCETM). It is part of the wider development of school-led, system leadership of education in England. Watch a short film about the work of the Maths Hubs here plus you can read the latest news from the Maths Hub Programme here.
For latest information about all of the Maths Hub programmes on offer for 23/24, please see our Maths Hub programme catalogue.
As our programmes go live, you can find info here to register (this includes our online Network Meetings).
The new NPQ for Leading Primary Mathematics has been launched by the DfE. This course is available to Primary teachers who have been registered and completed at least one year of the Maths Hub’s Teaching for Mastery programme (for example the Developing or Embedding Teaching for Mastery year). For more information and to register you need to do two things:
Register on the DfE NPQ system – ENSURE THAT YOU SELECT ‘TEACH FIRST’ as the Provider when you do this.
APPLY for the NPQ via this link
Both of these steps must be completed for your application to be reviewed.
If you are an ITT Institution, join our Strengthening Partnerships with ITT Community. We are developing a group of ITT representatives across the sector who are committed to developing communities of practice in order to review and evolve their provision.
